The following message is from crewmember Shannon:
Hello, we are doing great, just outside of
Huatulco, Mexico. There are some nice private beaches,
snorkeling, and tons of hermit crabs.
We had a bunch of birthdays and to celebrate
we've been eating cake all week.
We also had a couple of huge jellyfish blooms
with baby jellyfish so thick in the water that you couldn't see through
it. Also there are tons of baby
puffer fish. We caught one for
Vitality's birthday for her to play with and she thought that was great! Shortly after that the jellys bloomed
and we took some time out of the water.
It’s getting warm here, but still enough of a breeze to cool off. The water is inviting, refreshing, and
welcome when it's not stinging.
The baby jellys just seem to give a sensation of a tingle, but with so
many of them it's not great so we get out.
We will probably check into the marina tomorrow
for a day or two. We are waiting
out a Tauanepec storm (strong winds across our next bay crossing). We’ll be leaving Mexico either from
here or may stop on the other side of the bay at Chiapas for fuel, food and
mosquito netting before leaving, probably for El Salvador.
